When it’s time to shape up or ship out, the Military Diet is for you. Though not endorsed by any branch of the military, the diet is most known for its speedy weight loss promises, which claim you can lose 10 pounds in just one week. The plan consists of strict dieting for three days, then four days of unrestricted eating. Even though there really isn’t evidence to support the claims many proponents make, Authority Nutrition says you’re almost guaranteed to lose weight due to how restrictive it is.

This plan isn’t just for those with deep pockets, either. In fact, you’ll probably end up cutting the cost of what you normally spend on weekly groceries. However, consider this your warning that some of the meals aren’t necessarily considered status quo for a typical diet. One dinner calls for two hot dogs (without buns), one cup of broccoli, 1/2 cup of carrots, 1/2 banana, and 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream. Go figure. Learn more about the Military Diet meal plan here.

Want to shed three and a half inches from your waistline in just seven days? It may be possible. Fitness highlights a routine, which was created by trainers David and Dylan Schenk, making this bold claim. But keep in mind, it’s intended to be performed in conjunction with a 1,500-calorie daily diet. The grueling circuit, which you’ll do three times per week, is a mixture of exercises meant to target the whole body. Be sure to follow the plan precisely, including the alternating with Pilates workouts, if you’re looking to reap all the benefits. Though demanding, results could seriously pay off.

The name’s great, but does it really work? David Zinczenko, author of The New York Times bestselling book Zero Belly Diet, designed this plan, which could supposedly help you lose up to 10 pounds in just seven days. Though strict, the Zero Belly 7-Day Cleanse is designed to kick-start your weight loss goals as soon as you start. Claiming to be the best option for rapid weight loss while also avoiding the pitfalls of yo-yo dieting, this plan tells you exactly what to eat and when to exercise.

How exactly does it work? There are three key ingredients to succeeding with this diet. First, you’ll reduce your caloric intake. Second, you’ll incorporate short bouts of mild physical activity, upping your metabolic burn without insanely intense workouts. Lastly, you’ll be keeping your body fueled with clean, high-nutrient foods that will boost your health.

Your schedule will consist of a morning walk at 7:00, a Zero Belly drink at 10 a.m., a Zero Belly drink at 12:30 p.m., a snack at 3 p.m., and dinner at 6:30 p.m. If you’re interested in trying out this plan, start by taking a look at these Zero Belly drinks.

Of course, every weight loss plan is different and will have varying results for each individual. Also, remember to discuss any lifestyle changes with your doctor prior to starting a new diet or exercise routine.

P.S. Its important to remember that you didn’t gain the weight overnight so to lose it properly will take time. However if you are determined to get started on a weight loss plan then stick with that plan for at least a month to six weeks to test the results.
