Consistent daily activity will help prevent pre-diabetes

I have long been a believer that exercise should be a prescription handed out by your healthcare provider – ‘run two laps and call me in the morning’. Unfortunately, many doctors neglect to educate their patients on the benefits of consistent daily activity. They are more apt to prescribe some form of medication to treat an ailment —  a.k.a. putting a band-aid on the problem.

When it comes to diabetes —  treatment is only a temporary solution and a sure way to cause a bad condition to get worse if not properly managed. What’s needed is a permanent fix and this will only begin to happen when exercise and dietary changes are substituted, along with other life style changes, for stronger and more dangerous drugs. Yes – exercises for diabetics today is a must for vibrant life.

Granted there is a place for some medications and depending on the severity of your diabetic condition, it may be necessary to take the prescribed drugs. However, it should only be used as a temporary solution and not a permanent fix.

I have friends and family members who are diabetic and are able to reduce, and even eliminate the amount of metformin or insulin simply because they started taking responsibility for their health . . . . and not suffer a lifetime of dependency on big Pharma.
